Helderberg Night Market promises to bring on the festive cheer

The City’s Helderberg Night Market is taking place next week on 18 and 19 December 2025 at the Strand Square in Strand. This popular market is known to get residents and visitors into that holiday spirit and brings the community together each year to celebrate local talent, cuisine and craftsmanship.
The City of Cape Town’s Subcouncil 8 is hosting the Helderberg Night Market, which is set to transform Strand Square, located at the corner of Main Road and Fagan Street, into a bustling hub of entertainment, culinary delights and artisan treasures.
‘We look forward to hosting this market each year. It is always a highlight to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere at the night market, and it brings us much pleasure to see how the turnout showcases the unique spirit of the Helderberg region. I encourage residents and visitors in the area not to miss out on the festivities and to support the local businesses over these two days. Bring the whole family for a night of fun and festivities. The market is designed to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for visitors of all ages,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
